  • 2 teaspoons  granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoons lemon zest

Crumble Topping

  • 2 tablespoons quick oats
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the Blueberry FillingRinse and dry the blueberries. Place them into an air fryer-safe baking dish. In a small bowl, combine applesauce, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Pour the mixture over the blueberries and gently stir to coat.
  • Make the Crumble ToppingIn a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, and sugar. Add the butter cubes. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  • AssembleSprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the blueberry filling in the dish.
  • Air FryPreheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C). Place the dish into the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Check at the 12-minute mark to prevent burning.
  • Cool and ServeLet the crumble cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Pair it with vanilla ice cream, Greek yogurt, or whipped cream for added richness.

Notes

    • Use fresh blueberries for best results. Frozen blueberries may require a longer cook time and can release more liquid.

    • Make it vegan by substituting butter with coconut oil or plant-based margarine.
    • Add crunch with chopped walnuts, pecans, or almonds in the topping.

    • Change up the flavor with a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or orange zest.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
