Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
While the air fryer is preheating, season the fish fillets with salt and pepper.
Prepare three shallow bowls:
In the first bowl, place the flour.
In the second bowl, lightly beat the egg.
In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and paprika (or other preferred seasonings).
Coat the fish fillets one at a time:
First, dredge each fillet in flour, shaking off excess.
Next, dip in the beaten egg, letting the excess drip off.
Finally, coat in the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
Arrange the coated fish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
Air fry the fish at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, or until the coating is crispy and the fish is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
Serve with lemon wedges, your favorite dipping sauce, and a side of fries or salad.
