Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sliced yellow squash – tender base
  • ½ cup chopped onion – savory flavor
  • 4 tbsp butter – richness
  • 2 eggs beaten – structure
  • 1 cup sour cream – creaminess
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese – flavor
  • 1 cup crushed crackers – crunchy topping
  • Salt and black pepper – seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Boil squash and onion until tender. Drain well.
  • Mix squash with butter, eggs, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in cheese.
  • Transfer to greased baking dish.
  • Top with buttered crackers.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.
  • Rest 5 minutes before serving.
