- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups fresh strawberries
- 2 tbsp sugar for berries
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Slice strawberries and mix with sugar and lemon juice. Rest 20 minutes.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients separately. Combine with milk.
Bake at 350°F for 22–26 minutes. Cool fully.
Whip cream with powdered sugar.
Layer cake with cream and strawberries. Frost lightly and serve.
