Ingredients
  

  • Cake:
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 ¾ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 –4 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup strawberry puree
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cake pans.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Add dry mix and milk slowly.
  • Fold in strawberries.
  • Bake 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Make frosting and frost cake.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients.
Do not overmix.
Cool cake before frosting.
